By Chester Leverette (Contributing Writer)
Hello The Source Readers!
My name is Chester Leverette, and it is a privilege and an honor to be blessed by GOD to write about my Father’s business and to share the Good News of Jesus Christ from a Kingdom perspective.
I will be submitting devotional writings on a regular business with the hope of uplifting your spirit and strengthening your love and trust in the Lord.
Part 4
The Government of God
Isaiah prophesied concerning the coming Messiah: “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder. And His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6)
Jesus Christ is both the promised Son and the King of God’s Kingdom. Paul confirms His supreme authority: “He is the head of the body, the church … the firstborn from the dead, that in everything He might have the preeminence.” (Colossians 1:18). The word “preeminence” means first in rank, authority, honor and supremacy. Jesus Christ stands above all creation and all authority.

It has been my privilege to proclaim these truths publicly through ministry, and I thank God for giving me greater understanding of His purpose. God formed mankind so that His government could once again be established on the earth through those who place their faith in Jesus Christ.
As Hebrews reminds us: “Without faith, it is impossible to please God, for he who comes to Him must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6)
Faith is the doorway through which we enter God’s Kingdom and begin living according to His divine purpose.
Knowledge, Understanding, and Wisdom
One of the greatest needs within the body of Christ is understanding. Knowledge provides information. Understanding brings comprehension of that information. Wisdom is the practical application of both knowledge and understanding.
Scripture teaches: “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore, get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.” (Proverbs 4:7)
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. As Proverbs 9:10 declares: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” Understanding God’s purpose changes how we live. When we understand why God created mankind, we begin to live intentionally as citizens of His Kingdom, rather than merely as members of a religion.
It is my prayer that God will continue increasing His revelation to all mankind, drawing people into the full knowledge of His Kingdom and His purpose for their lives. May we always remember: “The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.” Proverbs 10:22)
It has been my privilege to proclaim these truths publicly through ministry, and I thank God for giving me greater understanding of His purpose. In the next edition, we will continue exploring Purposeful Living in God’s Kingdom by examining the Gospel of the Kingdom and what it truly means to seek first the Kingdom of God.
I ask blessings over my Apostle James C. Hash and his lovely and devoted wife Lady Joyce as he has been blessed to be elevated to Apostle office. I truly appreciate the spirit of excellence in teaching us the understanding of having a winner’s attitude and how important faith is to the believer. May GOD continue to bless St. Peter’s World Outreach Center and all church members and leaders. Apostle, I am blessed to be under your guidance and teaching. I glean so much from your Spirit.
